The Downshire Arms Hotel in Banbridge County Down (previously owned by Lord Downshire) can lay claim to the fact that it was used as the second coach stop from Belfast to Dublin in the ‘good old days’. The hotel is a fine example of an old Georgian Coaching Inn (built in 1816) and although the hotel has had modernisation, it still retains the general character of old which is evident in the bedrooms which hold the atmosphere of a gracious age.
A warm friendly and inviting welcome awaits you at the Downshire Arms. With fully licensed bars you can enjoy a beverage in the comfort of the public bar with the warmth and glow of its original wide open fireplace. The private lounge and cellar bar are also available to hire for your private function.
Our elegant dining room gives way to the perfect setting to spend an enjoyable evening, enhanced by a meal from our A La Carte menu prepared by our team of experienced chefs.
We also offer a secure resident’s car park contained within the hotel grounds.
