We know it can be a struggle knowing what to get dads for their special day and when the number 1 dad mug has already been bought, it's definitely time to start thinking of some other ideas.

Our wonderful chefs have worked together, collaborating on ideas of how we can make this Father's Day special for all of the hardworking dads that visit us. As well as our delicious menus on hand we have come up with some mouth-watering specials that will leave the dads wishing it’s Father's Day every day!

1. First off we have The Downshire mixed Grill, this plate is made especially for dads who love flavour and meat, it includes a belly-bursting plate of steak, gammon, venison, sausage, spicy chicken tulip, onion nest, hashbrown halos, fried egg, and pepper sauce.

2. Next, we have The Downshire Beef + Bird Sizzler, this mouthwatering dish includes a sizzled steak cooked to perfection, alongside crispy chicken tenders smothered in scrumptious pepper sauce and followed by a bed of onions and peppers.

BuckFest 2024 is just around the corner, and it's set to be a spectacular celebration filled with music, food, and fun. Whether you're a local or visiting for the first time, there's no better way to experience the vibrant community spirit than by attending BuckFest. 

BuckFest is an annual festival held in Banbridge. Known for its lively atmosphere and diverse range of activities, the festival attracts visitors from all over the region. This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a fantastic line-up of live music and family-friendly entertainment.

Highlights of BuckFest 2024

• Live music- enjoy performances from local bands and artists across multiple stages. 

• Arts and crafts- Explore unique handmade goods and support local artisans 

• Family activities- From face painting to funfair rides, there is something for kids of all ages.

• Workshops and Demonstrations - Learn something new with hands-on workshops and engaging demonstrations.

Tips for enjoying BuckFest- 

• Plan ahead - Check the schedule list in advance, and make a list of the performances and acts that you don't want to miss.

• Wear comfortable clothing-  Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes, as you will be on your feet for much of the festival. 

Pop in with us to refuel… we will be open for diners and drinkers during BuskFest and have some excellent live music lined up in our Beer Garden for you to enjoy from 5 pm.

As well as The Full Monty show, we enjoyed some food and drinks beforehand!

The final numbers were:

£2150.00 raised for Leonard Cheshire, a major health and welfare charity working in the United Kingdom and running development projects around the world. It was founded in 1948 by Royal Air Force officer Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC.

£1800.00 for J29, a community outreach programme based in Banbridge.
